Request for Proposal - Asbestos Abatement
The Penobscot County Commissioners are requesting proposals from qualified Asbestos Abatement Contractors to remove and dispose of Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM) and universal wastes/potential hazardous wastes/materials to facilitate the demolition of the former Bangor Y building located at 127 Hammond Street in Bangor.
This project is being completed to support the planned demolition of the existing building.
Written proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, marked "Former Bangor Y Building. 127 Hammond Street Asbestos Abatement". All proposals must be received no later than 4:30 PM, Friday, September 15, 2023. Proposals shall be submitted to:

Only sealed bids will be accepted. All bids must be complete upon submission. Bids received after the stipulated closing time will be returned unopened, at the Bidder’s expense. All bids received will be opened during the weekly Commissioner’s meeting on Tuesday, September 19, 2023
